Picture Washington Street in the 1950s. Kids walking to school with their friends. Bicycles lined up outside. Classic cars rolling down the street. Laughter echoing through the hallways. Lunch bells ringing. Recess on the playground. A community gathering around one very special place. That place is now FOR SALE. Welcome to 416 Washington St.--the former Barrows Elementary School/Adult Education, built in 1930 and offering just over 20,000 square feet of incredible space and potential. Named in honor of Henry P. Barrows, a prominent figure in the industrial and commercial enterprise of Three Rivers, this historic property has been part of the community for generations. Now, imagine what it could become. 20,000+ square feet. One historic building. A completely open canvas. Could you see apartments here? A spectacular single-family residence? Storage? Offices? Creative workspaces?A unique commercial concept? Perhaps something that hasn't even been imagined yet. The possibilities are extensive and subject to zoning, approvals, and the buyer's vision, of course. The building's size, character, history and location create an opportunity that is truly unlike the typical property on the market. Walk through the old halls and you can almost picture the past??? teachers at their desks, the sound of chalk against the chalkboard, coats hanging in the hallways, the sounds of lockers closing and generations of Three Rivers families making memories in one place. Now it's time to imagine the future. The stories of the past are already written. The next story belongs to you.
